Step by step Let the peas soak for 4 hours and sprout for 2-3 days till the white tip is 1-2 cm long. Rinse thoroughly with water and they are ready. Squeeze the juice of grapefruit and orange. Blend all ingredients together except a couple of sprouts. Serve immediately in a bowl or glass with sprouts as a garnish. Tip You can replace kiwi with sweet berries, if you think the taste is too acidic.
Sprout smoothie with pears
Sweet smoothie for morning, noon or hot evenings
2 tbsp broccoli and/or Rape seed 2 cups fresh juice from sweet apples ½ sweet apple 100 grams of fresh or frozen blueberries 1 ripe banana 2 ice cubes 1 tbsp Oil of Life or Udo's Choice
Step by step Let the Broccoli and/or Rape seeds soak for 8 hours and sprout for 6-7 days till they unfold one leaf. Blend all ingredients except a couple of sprouts. Serve immediately in a bowl or glass with sprouts as a garnish. Tip Broccoli and rape sprouts develop their characteristic root hairs which can be eaten but they look less decorative in a salad. Therefore, the roots are good for blending with a smoothie.
Berry smoothie with hints of licorice
A tempting licorice smoothie with fennel sprouts
3 tbsp Fennel seeds 1 tbsp Alfalfa 200 gram frozen or fresh berries 2 dl yoghurt cold neutral milk or soy ¼ avocado or 1 tablespoon of Life Oil 1 tbsp sweet licorice powder 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
Step by step Soak the Fennel for 8 hours and sprout for 8-10 days till the first leaf unfold. Let the Alfalfa soak for 8 hours and sprout for 6-7 days untill the 1 leaf unfold. Rinse the sprouts thoroughly to remove all hulls and the sprouts are ready. Blend all ingredients except a few Fennel Sprouts. Serve immediately with a few sprouts at the top.
Tip You can use corn sprouts in stead of Fennel sprouts if you find that easier.
Saturating sprout smoothie
A smoothie suitable for your quick breakfast 1 person
2 tbsp mixed Alfalfa, Broccoli and Clover seeds 3 cm fresh ginger Juice of ½ lemon Juice of ½ lime Juice of ½ sweet orange 1 thin slice of pineapple 1 handful fresh spinach leaves ½ avocado 1 tbsp fresh linseed
Step by step Let the Alfalfa, Broccoli and Clover soak in the same glass for 8 hours. Sprout them for 6-7 days untill the first leaf unfold. Then rinse them in a bowl untill the seed pods/hulls are gone. Juice the citrus fruits and pour the juice in the blender. Add the remaining ingredients except a few sprouts for decoration. Blend thoroughly till the consistency is creamy. Serve in a bowl og glass with sprouts at the top. Tip You can add some sprouted peas, green lentils or mung beans to achieve more protein and filling fibre in the smoothie.
Pineapple sprout fantasy
A fresh smoothie with lots of proteins 1 person
3 tbsp Peas for sprouting 1 tbsp Alfalfa seeds 1 slice fresh pineapple 5 cm cucumber 1 cup soy milk or plain yogurt the juice from 1 sweet orange 1 handful fresh mint leaves 1 tbsp Oil of Life or Udo's Choice 2 ice cubes

Rinse all the ingredients thoroughly and cut the outer shell of the pineapple slice. Blend all ingredients except a few sprouts untill the consistency is creamy. Pour into a glass and serve immediately with a few sprouts on top for garnish. Tip You can broccoli sprouts or clover sprouts if you are looking for even more vitamins in your smoothie. Only the white clover is bitter. Red clover on the other hand taste like Alfalfa.
Violette sprouts in purple sea of berries
Violette red cabbage sprouts in the oxidant rich smoothie 1 person
1 tbsp Red cabbage 100 grams of blueberries 100 grams of blackberries, raspberries or strawberries 200 grams plums and pomegranate seeds Juice of ½ orange Juice of ½ lemon
Step by step Let the Red cabbage seeds soak for 8 hours and sprout for 6-7 days till they get leaves. Then rinse the sprouts thoroughly in a large bowl of water to remove most of the hulls. Safe a few sprouts for decoration. Rinse fruits and berries. Put all the ingredienses into the blender and blend till the consistency is as desired. Pour into a glass, garnish with sprouts on top and serve. Tip You will hardly notice red cabbage sprouts subtle nuances in this tasty smoothie, but they provide many good vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
Kiwi dream smoothie with sprouts
A smoothie full of vitamin C and antioxidants.
½ tbsp rape seeds ½ tbsp broccoli seeds 1 lime 1 kiwi 1/4 ripe avocado 1 cup frozen skimmed or rice milk 1 tbsp liquid Omega 3-6-9 oil
Step by step Soak the seeds for 8 hours and sprout for 5-7 days untill they unfold their first leaves. Rinse the ready sprouts thoroughly to remove hulls and put them all - including roots - into the blender. Juice the lime and pour it into the blender. Peel the kiwi and avocado and put them in the blender with frozen milk. Blend for a few seconds and pour the finished smoothie into a beautiful glass. Garnish with a kiwi slice and a few sprouts. Tip Rape and Broccoli belong to the botanical family called brassica. This means they form root hairs. The hairs are wild looking but edible.
Strawberrie, sprouts and orange smoothie
A really fresh summer drink with sprouts. 1 person
1 tbsp Alfalfa seeds 2 large sweet oranges 1/2 ripe banana 3 ripe or frozen strawberries 3 ice cubes 4 tbsp rice milk or water 1 tbsp liquid Omega 3-6-9 oil
Step by step Soak the Alfalfa seeds for 8 hours and sprout them for 7-9 days till the first leaf unfold. Rinse them in a bowl untill the hulls are rinsed away. Rinse the other ingredients. Cut a slice of orange and set aside for garnish with a little bit of sprouts. Put the ingredients in the blender little by little. Finally, add the ice cubes and oil. Pour into a nice glass and garnish with orange slice and sprouts.
A satiating smoothie full of natural lime green smoothie with sprouts. 1 person
2 tbsp sunflower seeds with shells/hulls 1 cm cucumber 1/2 avocado 1 handful parsley 1 handful of spinach leaves 1 tbsp sesame seeds 1 tbsp almonds 7 blueberries 5 cm banana Rice milk / water
Step by step Let the Sunflower seeds soak for 8 hours and sprout for 7-9 days untill the first leaf unfold. Let the Almonds and sesame seeds soak for 2 hours before you use them in your smoothie. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly and place them in a blender. Add the rice milk and cold water as desired. Blend for a few minutes till the consistency is lump-free. Pour the smoothie into a bowl or glass. Garnish with a few sprouts and serve immediately. Tip You can choose to use pea sprouts instead of sunflower sprouts
